Holotropic Breathwork
Holotropic Breathwork with Zach Crooks
You’ll work directly with me, Zach Crooks. I draw on my training in Holotropic Breathwork and my background as a licensed mental health counselor to guide preparation, the experience itself, and integration afterward.
Preparation comes first
Before arranging a session, we discuss your intentions, relevant health history, questions, and whether this practice is appropriate for you. Breathwork can be intense and is not suitable for everyone. I may ask you to obtain medical guidance before participating.
The experience
I explain the breathing process and what support is available. Breathwork may bring emotions, imagery, body sensations, or personal and spiritual reflections. You do not need to produce a particular experience, and I will not impose a meaning on what you notice.
Integration afterward
We make time to reflect on the experience, ground yourself, and consider what may be useful in daily life. I may suggest journaling, creative expression, or another agreed practice.
Counseling with me does not require breathwork. We can discuss other approaches if this practice does not fit your needs.
