Zachariah K. Crooks

LMHC, CGT, ACHT, HFRM

I am an Indiana licensed mental health counselor, Certified Gestalt Therapist, Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapist, Holy Fire Reiki Master, and transpersonal life coach. I hold a master’s degree in counseling from Huntington University. My additional training includes the Indianapolis Gestalt Institute, The Wellness Institute, and the Reiki Center of Indiana.

I have worked in counseling since 2010 and in private practice since 2019. I support adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, stress, relationship patterns, and personal growth.

My holistic approach considers your thoughts, emotions, body awareness, relationships, and sense of meaning. I combine supportive feedback and gentle challenge with approaches we choose together, such as Gestalt work, mindfulness, journaling, guided imagery, and hypnotherapy.

Spiritual and energy practices reflect my interests and training; they are optional and discussed in the context of your own beliefs. You can receive counseling without choosing them. I support the emotional challenges that can accompany chronic illness; medical diagnosis and treatment belong with your medical provider.

Hypnotherapy uses focused attention, imagery, and reflection to explore patterns and practice new responses. Experiences and progress vary. Imagery or recollections arising in hypnosis are not proof that a past event occurred.

My own experiences with these approaches contribute to my passion for this work. Your experience will be your own, and we will review what is helping as we go.

If this approach interests you, request a free 15-minute phone consultation to ask about services, fees, and fit. I aim to respond within one business day, Monday–Friday.

Warmly,
Zach

The Healing Tree: A Metaphor for True Transformation

The Healing Tree

A tree’s roots offer a metaphor for exploring the stories, emotions, and beliefs that shape recurring struggles. The leaves remind us to care for present needs as well.

In our work, we can explore patterns while building practical ways to respond in daily life. Insight and coping skills can support one another. This image describes my approach, rather than promising a particular outcome or dismissing symptom relief.

We choose approaches together, respect your pace, and review what is useful to you.

Are you ready to take the first step?
